HOW THESE SECURITY FUNCTION AT TWITTER WORKS:
1. BLOCK
Update your privacy settings and use the BLOCK function to stop a user from following you, tagging you in photos or accessing your tweets. Any @replies or mentions from a blocked user will not appear in your mentions tab ( although these tweets may still appear in search )
2. IGNORE
Twitter proviced another user control that enables you to unfollow accounts your don't want to see. Finally you can BLOCK or REPORT the user.
3. MUTE
You also can hide a users tweets from your timeline without blocking them by using the new mute function. A red mute icon on twitter will appear on their profile visible only to you until you unmute them again.
4. REPORT
Its Now been easier to report a user to twitter. simply click on the in-Tweet reporting button on fill out the online forms.
