How does POP3, IMAP and Web Based Works ?

POP3 and IMAP4 are the two common mailbox access protocols for e-mail clients such as Outlook, Mail, Eudora and Thunderbird.









(Post Office Protocol 3)- POP3  A standard interface between a user's e-mail program and the mail server, defined by IETF RFC 1939.

(Internet Message Access Protocol)- IMAP A standard interface between a user's e-mail program and the mail server, as defined by IETF RFC 3501

(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)- SMTP The standard e-mail protocol on the Internet and part of the TCP/IP protocol suite, as defined by IETF RFC 2821.
